Its OK, not as difficult as other passages that I had came across.

I managed to slower my reading and also pronounced my words clearly and soundly. The teachers were smiling at me all the way and i made me feel less tensed up and loosen up. I feel that the passage is quite simple as there were not much difficult words in the passage. I sincerely hope that the passage for PSLE would be similar to that.

Hope I can score well, and this applies to everyone else too!

i was able to read rather fluently and not in monotone. haha ^^
and like what Yi Wen said, there was one part which was rather difficult and that was when the person was teasing his brother. >< think i need some improvement there...
the rest was fine, luckily. (phew!)
hope that everyone gets desirable results in this area!
good lucks to your grades! ;D

I read the passage fluently without any hesitation also with variation of pitch and tone. I managed to slow down my reading pace too! =)

Too bad the day before the prelims, my voice break. ******* , try to speak some words in a high pitch but a little out of tune. I thought to myself, izzit the end? Obviously a straight no! I still carry on reading. The teacher were like stareing at me quite puzzled(or whatever) Ha overall I still find it a little easy.

i tink i spoke in a " not too fast and not too slow" pace. there is no tough words tat i don't know and i also spoke veri clearly making sure there were no mistakes. i also said the conversations between the characters in the story wif variations.

I feel that i did pretty well in reading the passage. I think that i have also impressed the teacher by speaking with espression, and also fluently. I should be able to score well for this part.

I read a bit too fast but i managed to slow down after some sentences. I have made some pauses when is needed.

I think that the passage was quite a easy one. I spoke clearly and i made some jerky statement as i was nervous when the teacher look at me. For the pace of my reading, it was quite okay, not too fast, not too slow.

I read it and pause when there was a comma and I read it with lots of expressions. hopefully, the psle oral may be like this

For reading passage, I love this section.

Always beliving I could do well, I was pretty confident.

I slowed down my reading pace, as I was well-known among my friends to speak like a bullet train when I'm excited or agitated.

I did not try to change the sound of my voice, knowing perfectly well I'm not capable of it.

So I did diffferent variations for speeches and question marks, full stops and exclamation marks.

I know this is totally unrelated, but deep down, I really wish I can speak like a a British =)

Read at a suitable pace, don't be too fast if not the teachers would not even hear a word you are saying.(espeacially the ones who wants to get the reading over quickly) Read with emotions, try to put your shoes in the characters in the passage, that will help.

REad loud!Don't cover your face with the paper!:D

well i kind of feel a little jitty at first as it is a bit scary seeing two examiners and reading aloud to them.i wanted using my best british accent but decided against it as the examiners might not like my "wonderful voice"

Reading the passage was not very well done...(~~~>.<~~~)Because I added in my own words a few times...like "to" when it wasn't there.I was so nervous...Maybe that was why I added in my few words...

Oh please...Hopefully my marks will not be pulled down too much...

I read the passage with variations and emotions. I read through the passage smoothly. But... I was too soft!!!! The teachers told me to speak up!!! I really feel like CRYING when I think about the oral!! I won't do this again in PSLE. I will speak up!! Wish all of you get into a good school!! => =)

Hi, I am Benson

I thinkthe passage was quite easy and i think we might get it correct if we take note on the punctuations.

Annabelle Lin said...

I tried not to stammer when I was reading the passage and put in more variation.

Koh Kah Hui said...

I did the reading passqge quite okay. I am really careless to read 'the Esplaned' to 'the cat' that 'the' instead of 'the apple' that 'thi'. I will be more careful next time!!!

My reading,I reckon, was not so good as I tried to 'insert; some accent which might have sounded very fake. ~~

I forgot to say "thee" instead of the when there is a vowel...
